Cristian conceived the idea behind Omniamus in December 2012 and brought it to life as a live, full-stack platform — building every layer himself: the social network, the creator marketplace, crowdfunding, governance (OmniVote), and the OmniCortex cognitive-architecture layer. No outside investors, no team, no equity sold.

OmniCortex is a cognitive architecture, not a wrapper around a single model: 2.15M lines of code across 5,500+ Python modules — 1,846 indexed cognitive primitives plus 3,600+ orchestration, evaluators, and infrastructure modules. A frozen open-source LLM plugs in as the world-knowledge prior, while reasoning, auditability, alignment, and agency live inside OmniCortex itself. Backbone-agnostic by design.

The thesis: frontier labs win the scaling race, but nobody has won the explainability and control race. Every regulated buyer — finance, healthcare, defense, EU enterprise post-AI Act — needs an auditable, constrainable cognitive layer between their data and any LLM. With EU AI Act enforcement beginning August 2026, OmniCortex was designed for exactly that regime.

Building OmniCortex — a cognitive architecture that sits between a frozen open-source LLM and the user, turning a black-box generator into an auditable, alignment-native agent. Built solo over 6.5 weeks (22 Mar – 6 May 2026): 2.15M lines of code, 5,500+ Python modules, 60+ alignment modules (autonomy thresholds, oversight, collusion detection, value drift), sub-quadratic attention, and an audit trail produced by construction on every cognitive operation. Shipped a reasoning system routing problems to 231 verified algorithmic solvers (correct-by-construction), and a ground-truthed 18-axis capability benchmark scoring 1.0 on all 16 symbolic axes.
